Funny Farm is a 1988 comedy directed by George Roy Hill. In this film, Andy (Chevy Chase) and Elizabeth (Madolyn Smith Osborne) are leaving the city and Andy's job behind them and moving to the country. The couple has just purchased a farm in Vermont and is looking forward to starting new lives there. Andy, who was once a successful sports journalist, thinks that the serenity the countryside offers will allow him to achieve his life-long goal of writing a novel. Elizabeth is looking forward to her husband being home more and the couple finally starting a family. The anxious couple come to realize country life is very different from city life in every way. Not only do they have to adjust to their new house, but they are also inundated with odd characters from town, some not so happy about the couple's arrival. Will the couple adjust to their new country life, or will they return to the city screaming?MORE[EDIT]
