Freaky Circus Guy is a 2005 documentary about one man's unusual and eccentric quest to bring a 1920s circus back to life in modern-day New Jersey. Ken Harck has always had a taste for the unique and bizarre things in life, and his hobbies show off his quirky side. Harck collects circus memorabilia from the 1920s, including vintage circus posters, banners, archeological marvels and more. Not satisfied to just collect memories of antique circuses, however, Harck dreams of creating a sideshow that will capture all the strangeness of the circus in living, breathing color. This documentary follows Harck as he works to fulfill his vision, despite the many challenges and doubts he faces along the way. Harck works along with a bevy of fellow circus aficionados, including Danielle D'Meux, a snake charmer, and William Danke, the "Human Blockhead." Blending historical insight with contemporary showmanship, the documentary gives new meaning to the term "circus freak."MORE[EDIT]
