Forever Strong is a dramatic sports film directed by Ryan Little based on a compilation of true stories that centers on Rick Penning (Sean Faris), a physically talented young high school rugby player whose troubled attitude leads him to lose his star position for an Arizona team when he is sent to a Juvenile Detention Center. When he is recruited to join his rival team, the Highland Rugby, Rick has to decide whether or not he can handle the rather grueling and demanding training schedule and rules of the Highlands, led by Coach Larry Gelwix (Gary Cole), or if he'd rather finish his time in jail.
