Firestorm is a 1998 action-packed film directed by Dean Semlar. Wyoming (Howie Long) is a firefighter who he leads a group of fellow smoke jumpers in forest fires. While in a penitentiary, Earl Shaye (William Forsythe), a killer, prepares an escape plan with an aim of recovering a hidden $ 37 million. His fellow inmate is part of a convict group who are on an assignment to clear a forest fire. He murders him and takes his place in the group. They successfully escape from the penitentiary. As they prepare to look for the stashed loot, they pretend to be visiting Canadian firefighters. Wynt (Scott Glen), a retired firefighter discovers the convicts' escape.
