Fear and Trembling is a 2003 comedy that follows the story of Amelie (Sylvie Testud), a Japanese-born Belgian woman, who finds her dream job only to suffer a series of increasingly humiliating demotions. Amelie is excited at the beginning when she finally is able to tap into her Japanese side by landing a job as an interpreter at a large Japanese corporation. Eager to please her bosses and co-workers, Amelie makes it a point to finish her tasks on time and with unending enthusiasm. However, because she is unaware of the customs of the country, she makes some hilarious missteps much to the ire of her fellow workers.
