Fathers' Day is a 1997 slapstick comedy that brings together comedians Robin Williams and Billy Crystal as unlikely partners in a search for a runaway teenager. Collette Andrews (Nastassja Kinski) contacts two old boyfriends from almost 20 years ago to let them know they had a child. Her son, Scott (Charlie Hofheimer), has run away and she desperately needs their help to locate him. Both Jack Lawrence (Billy Crystal), an attorney, and Dale Putley (Robin Williams), a performance artist, jump to help find the teenager and unexpectedly meet. The two men decide to team up for the Scott's sake, but each secretly believes they are the true father. As the follow the clues to find Scott, their personalities and styles inevitably clash.
