Fame is a 1980 drama that follows the life of teen students attending New Yorks's High School for the Performing Arts. Directed by Alan Parker, the movie the movie focuses primarily on five students after they gain admission into the prestigious school: Coco (Irene Cara), a talented dancer; Bruno (Lee Curerri), a brilliant keyboardist; Raul (Barry Miller), a Freddie Prinze wannabe; Leroy (Gene Anthony Ray), a dancer who gains admission purely by accident and Doris (Maureen Teefy), who wants to be an actress. Once in, they have to navigate their way through four years of academics and perfecting their skills.
