Falling Down (1993) stars Michael Douglas as a frustrated defense engineer who loses his job and slowly falls into a violent and psychotic breakdown in the midst of crowded Los Angeles. William Foster (Michael Douglas), a recently divorced dad, simply wants to drive across town for his daughter's birthday party. The on-edge Foster encounters a traffic jam, and finds himself lost in the gang-saturated area of Central Los Angeles.
