Failure to Lauch is a 2006 romantic comedy directed by Tom Dey. At 35, Tripp (Mathew McConaughey) has reached the pinnacle of success. He lives in a nice house, spends his time sailing yachts, meets beautiful women, and sleeps with them without any commitments. He is the idol of all his friends, but not his parents, Al (Terry Bradshaw), and Sue (Kathy Bates). They are ready for him to move out of their house and start his own life. To accomplish their desire, Al and Sue hire Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker), a counselor of sorts, to help them launch Tripp out into the world.
