Exterminating Angels is a French film that provides an updated look at feminine sexual mores in a world that will never revert to the mores surrounding the art-house scene of the 1960s. The movie highlights the spirited, yet not always successful attempts of a film director to assemble and work with an all female cast in the making of a movie detailing the female orgasm. Considered a little too prurient for even some of the French minds that appear to the director as part of an art-house flair in the film, there is an element of social retribution that enters the story after several successful interviews with actresses; during which they are filmed either masturbating, or having sex with another woman. Like many European movies, this film is a great companion piece to other independent efforts that explore topics like human desire on many levels simultaneously.
