Excalibur brings the classic tale of King Arthur (Nigel Terry) to the screen in the film adaptation of the 15th century romance Le Morte d'Arthur. The famed sword Excalibur has been encased in stone for years, waiting for the next king to manage to withdraw it. When Arthur pulls the sword from the stone at a jousting match, the young man is proclaimed heir to the throne.
