Evil Under the Sun is a 1982 mystery starring Peter Ustinov as the talented and eccentric detective Hercule Poirot in a story about an island getaway that turns into a thrilling murder mystery, based on the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. Hercule Poirot can't seem to get away from his job as an investigator, as even a holiday on a scenic island turns into a tense hunt for a killer on the loose. The film begins with Poirot being called for assistance by Sir Horace Blatt, a wealthy aristocrat. Blatt asks Poirot to investigate an expensive diamond he's recently purchased.
