Etoiles: Dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet is a documentary film released in 2002. Written and directed by Nils Tavernier, the movie follows the travails and tribulations of the principal dancers (in the French, "etoiles") of the famed Paris Opera Ballet. This company was founded by Louis XVI and is one of the oldest dance companies in the world. It is also well known for its intense rigor and artistry.
