Ernest Goes To Jail is a 1990 comedy starring Jim Varney as the lovably dim-witted Ernest P. Worrell in his fourth feature film. In this installment, Ernest's luck goes from bad to worse as he starts off having to appear for jury duty to fulfill his responsibility as an American citizen, and winds up behind bars after a clever criminal notices how much Ernest looks like the feared inmate Felix Nash. Felix arranges a plan to switch places with the unaware hillbilly, earning back his freedom. While Felix enjoys life on the outside with his new identity, the kind-hearted Ernest has trouble acclimating to life on the inside, as the other prisoners and guards don't take kindly to the foolish antics of the blundering country boy. Ernest will have to find a way to get out of prison and clear his good name, as the world is barely big enough for one Ernest P. Worrell, and definitely not big enough for two.MORE[EDIT]
