Empress and the Warriors is a 2008 Hong Kong action film directed by Ching Siu-tung. The film is set in one of many kingdoms during an extremely violent period of Ancient China's history. The Yan Kingdom is one of the most warlike factions, as well as the traditional enemies of the Zhao Kingdom. The Yan are put in a very precarious position when their emperor dies from a would sustained in battle and leaves his daughter, Yan Fei'er (Kelly Chen), to rule the kingdom. The deceased emperor's nephew Yan Huba (Guo Xiaodong) aspires to become emperor himself. He attempts to assassinate his cousin Fei'er but she survives the attempt and is discovered by a kindly hermit named Duan Lanquan (Leon Lai). Duan nurses her back to health and MORE [EDIT]
