Eight Miles High is a German film depicting the eventful life of Uschi Obermaier, a 1960s sex symbol and groupie. The film opens in 1968 with 22-year-old Uschi (Natalia Avelon) arguing with her parents and storming out of their apartment. She hitches a ride with a group of hippies in a VW bus and ends up at Kommune 1, a politically motivated commune in West Berlin. However, Uschi has little interest in radical politics. Her beauty and aspirations lead her into modeling, which in turn leads her into a friendship with Mick Jagger (Victor Noren) and a love affair with Keith Richards (Alexander Scheer).
