Earth Girls Are Easy is a 1989 science-fiction comedy directed by Julien Temple. The movie stars Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum, Damon Wayons, Julie Brown and Jim Carrey. The film's plot centers on Valerie Gail (Geena Davis), a manicurist living in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. Valerie feels that her fiance, Dr. Ted Gallagher (Charles Rocket), is slipping away from her and attempts to surprise him with a sexy new look. Instead, Valerie is shocked to find him having an affair with another woman and kicks him out of the house. The next day, while Valerie is outside sunbathing, three aliens land in her yard. The aliens are named Mac (Jeff Goldblum), Zeebo (Damon Wayons) and Wiploc (Jim Carrey, in one of his earliest screen roles). Valerie quickly takes the aliens to meet her best friend Candy Pink (Julie Brown) and, after giving the aliens a fashion makeover, Valerie and Candy treat the aliens to a night out on the town and show them what life is like in L.A.
