Dreamscape: Special Edition features Dennis Quad as Alex Gardner, a psychic that was once part of a scientific research project about psychic abilities, but disappeared during the middle of the study. Alex has been since using his abilities for personal gain. While on the run from local mobsters, Alex encounters two men, claiming to be from an academic institution, and allows those two men to take him in for a study. At the institution, he is reunited with his mentor, Dr. Paul Novotny (Max von Sydow) and his aide, Jane DeVries (Kate Capshaw). Novotny recruits Alex to help him with his newest experiment; a way for psychics to temporarily link minds with other people during REM sleep, allowing the psychics to project themselves in MORE [EDIT]
