Diggers is a 2006 film directed by Katherine Dieckmann that tells the story of Hunt (Paul Rudd), a hard-working clam digger in Long Island, who is fighting to preserve the family tradition amidst threats which are about to endanger his occupation. As rich real estate developers start transforming the shores into vacation resorts, Hunt and his fellow diggers struggle to earn their living by harvesting from the sea, refusing to give up their traditional lifestyle. When Hunt's father dies, the family is desperate to make ends meet and faces an uncertain future.
