Diamonds Are Forever is a 1971 James Bond film, the seventh in the classic franchise and the sixth and final film to star Sean Connery as the MI6 agent, who this time must take down a megalomaniacal madman who intends to use a giant laser-firing satellite made from diamonds to hold Planet Earth for ransom. The film begins with Bond in hot pursuit of his old nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Charles Gray), whose most recent crime is the murder of Bond's wife Tracy di Vicenzo. Bond's pursuit of Blofeld leads him to a mysterious operation that appears to be constructing look-a-likes of people, although the purpose of the cloning factory can't be determined.
