Deeply

Deeply is a supernatural drama directed by Shen Elwood. Adolescent Claire McKay (Julia Brendler) is devastated when one of her former lovers dies. Depressed, angry and possibly suicidal, Claire travels to her remote ancestral home, desperately hoping to find closure and peace of mind. Soon after she arrives, she befriends the mysterious Celia (Lynn Redgrave). Celia quickly gains Claire's trust, prompting the bereaved teen to reveal the reason for her journey. In response, Celia offers the ancient tale of Silly (Kirsten Dunst), a beautiful Viking maiden tormented by a vicious curse that has prevented her soul from rising up to heaven. As Claire investigates this fable, she learns that this story is not a work of fiction; Silly's miserable soul still lingers in the area, yearning for rest and release.
