Death Warrant

Death Warrant is a 1990 slam bang martial arts action-prison romp starring beloved Muscles from Brussels himself Jean-Claude Van Damme (Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Double Impact, Hard Target, Nowhere to Run). Louis Burke (Van Damme) has tracked notorious serial killer The Sandman (Patrick Kilpatrick, Minority Report) from his native turf in Canada, where he prowls the streets as a Mountie, to America where he finally brings the vicious killer down. Coming off the success of this take down, he is recruited to go undercover into a vicious prison, where convicts are being murdered at an alarming rate under mysterious circumstances, and find out exactly what's going on. Amanda Beckett (Cynthia Gibb, Short Circuit 2) is his liaison and, armed with her expertise and eyes on, he ventures in to the decidedly hostile territory, where he starts making fast enemies ' all which he dispatches with some nifty round house kicks and other assorted and patented Van Damme martial arts moves.
