Dead Heat is a 1988 film directed by Mark Goldblatt. It revolves around the story of two Los Angeles Police officers, Roger Mortis (Treat Williams) and Doug Bigelow (Joe Piscopo), whose job is to track and capture hardened criminals. Upon visiting Dante Laboratories, a company that is suspected of illegal activity, they discover that an evil genius, Doctor Ernest McNab (Darren McGavin), has designed a "resurrection machine" that can bring back to life dead rich people, that give him half of their life savings, and transform them into almost invincible zombies that are sent on crime missions. The clients, lured by the doctor's promises of eternal life, are unaware that the reanimation is only temporary. When Mortis is killed in action in the line of duty, he is revived in the resurrection room and receives unbelievable strength that he uses to save his partner. He can now take to fight to the zombie outlaws and bring the justice by destroying the evil machinery and its designer.MORE[EDIT]
