Days of Jesse James is a 1939 Western film directed by Joseph Kane that presents a story of a twisted bank robbery. Gabby Whittaker (George 'Gabby' Hayes) comes back to native Missouri after earning money in the gold mines of California. He is convinced by his granddaughter, Mary (Pauline Moore), to keep his cash in a local bank which soon becomes the target of a robbery. The bankers put the blame on Jesse James (Donald Barry) and his gang of outlaws. They recruit Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers) who is assigned to ride out and capture James and his partners.
