Daylight is a 1996 disaster movie directed by Rob Cohen. Diamond thieves try desperately to escape from police by leading them on a car chase in an underwater tunnel between New Jersey and Manhattan. When they lose control of the vehicle and smash into a truck containing toxic chemicals, the truck explodes and caves in the roof of the tunnel. Taxi driver, Kit Latura (Sylvester Stallone), witnesses the accident as he is sitting outside of the tunnel in his car. As the former head of the New York City Emergency Medical Services, he knows that he can possibly save lives. Against the advice of others, he climbs into the tunnel through the ventilation fans.
