Dave Chappelle's Block Party is the documentary film by comedian and Chappelle's Show namesake Dave Chappelle, about his quest to throw the ultimate block party. Dave travels through the heartland and stops in his hometown while passing out invitations to his party. On September 18, 2004, Dave threw a blowout block party in Brooklyn, New York, inviting friends and musicians from the neo-soul and hip hop worlds to perform, and performing sketches and comedy monologues in between the music. Some of the acts at the block party included Erykah Badu, Mos Def, The Roots, and The Fugees, who reunited just for the block party to perform their song "Killing Me Softly".[EDIT]
