Dante's Peak is the 1997 explosive disaster thriller starring Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton, and is now available from Universal Pictures. Four years ago, Dr. Harry Dalton (Brosnon), a vulcanologist, lost his wife while trying to evacuate from a roaring volcano that no one saw coming. Now, in the small town of Dante's Peak, Washington, Dalton believes the same is about to happen. After some strange seismic activity in the Cascade Mountains, Dalton comes to Dante's Peak to confirm his suspicions. There he meets town mayor Rachel Wando (Hamilton) and her two children.
