Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is a 2000 martial arts film directed by Ang Lee. The film is based on the fourth book in the Crane Iron Pentalogy, written by Wang Dulu. In this film, martial-arts expert Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun Fat) is out to search for answers to his master's murder. He is strong and able to handle almost anything except the girl of his dreams, Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yoeh). Yu Shu Lien is a martial-arts expert in her own rights and Li Mu Bai asks her to transport an heirloom for his friend, Sir Te (Sihung Lung). This heirloom is the Green Destiny Sword, which is said to have special powers. The sword is transported safely but stolen soon afterwards, leading Li Mu Bai and Yu Shu Lein on a path to find it.
