Crime of Passion is a classic drama film directed by Gerd Oswald and released in 1957. This beautifully photographed film noir tells the story of Kathy Ferguson (Barbara Stanwyck), a young journalist at the start of a very promising career. When she marries a handsome but unambitious police lieutenant (Sterling Haydon) after only several dates, Kathy impulsively quits her job and exerts all of her energy in attempts to help her husband win a promotion. However, he's not nearly as driven as she is and seems content to let the chips fall where they may.
