Creatures from the Pink Lagoon

Creatures from the Pink Lagoon follows a group of friends as they celebrate Phillip's (Nick Garrison) birthday with a bash at the beach. Making their way toward the festivities are a pack of flesh-eating zombies. Director Chris Diani calls the film a campy mix of classic B horror films and gay melodramas. Phillip's best friend Stan (Lowell Deo) organizes the event with the help of his boyfriend, Billy (Vincent Kovar), Billy cousin Joseph (Evan Mosher) and cynical Randall (Philip D. Clarke). Not far away, at the highway rest stop, toxic mosquitoes have transformed gay men into zombies hungry for human flesh. They make their way toward the beach, devouring every man that crosses their path. Phillip and the boys must use their wits to keep the zombies from devouring them. Diani also co-wrote the script for the 2006 film with Basil Harris. It is filmed in black and white as an homage to 1950s camp horror films. MORE [EDIT]
