Country Remedy, also known as Simple Things, is a 2008 drama directed by Andrew C. Erin that explores how people test what is important to them in their lives. Dr. Evan Gibbs (Cameron Bancroft) is a successful, widowed workaholic father who has agreed to temporarily move with his 10-year-old son (Aidan Mitchell) to a small, country town in the North Carolina mountains. Dr. Gibbs is hoping to land a job as head of pediatrics at a Chicago hospital; he hopes setting up the clinic will impress his superiors and secure the job for him.
