Coraline is a stop-motion children's film that was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 2009 Academy Awards. Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is not happy when she is forced to move away from Michigan to live with her mother Mel (Teri Hatcher) and father Charlie (John Hodgman) at the Pink Palace Apartments in Oregon. Since her parents are ignoring her to devote time to work, Coraline begins to feel bored and forgotten.
