Confessions Of A Superhero is a documentary film that follows the lives of four adult men and women that dress up as comic book heroes and pose for pictures with tourists. On any given day, in Los Angeles, you're likely to see a celebrity. And on any given day, in Los Angeles, on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre, you're very likely to run into the likes of Superman, (Christopher Dennis) Batman, (Maxwell Allen) Wonder Woman, (Jennifer Wenger) and The Hulk (Joseph McQueen). Not the real superheros, of course, but actors dressed in the part. They work for tips, taking pictures with vacationers, and come home to lives and families like any other job. Matthew Ogens' touching documentary chronicles the lives of these four struggling actors, getting to know the men and women behind the costumes that other people made famous. From Dennis' fascination and adoration for the character Superman itself, to Allen's violent psychological profile, the lives of these otherwise ordinary people is examined; Wenger was once the prom queen and McQueen was once homeless, but at the end of the day they're all trying to make it. In their own words they tell the stories, both ordinary and extraordinary. Confessions Of A Superhero is a unique and original film.MORE[EDIT]
