Coast of Skeletons follows a diamond hunt led by Inspector Harry Sanders (Richard Todd) and his rival, Texas playboy, A.J. Magnus (Dale Robertson). A remake of the novel "Sanders of the Rivers" by Edgar Wallace, the story is an adventure set on the Ivory Coast of Africa and a sequel to Death Drums Along the River. Sanders, an insurance investigator, uncovers a plot to pillage the sunken ships that had been insured by Sanders' company, treasure to which the company is entitled for having covered the loss. Magnus is a southern millionaire out for adventure and a new boost to his fortunes. Aboard the German dredge that Magnus is using, both romance and tension are brewing among the crew.
