Clockstoppers is a 2002 science fiction film directed by Jonathan Frakes When Zak Gibbs (Jesse Bradford) accidentally finds a wristwatch prototype in his father's (Robin Thomas) possessions, he uncovers a device that could change history. The watch, developed for the NSA by Earl Doppler (French Stewart) at Quantum Tech, has the ability to speed-up the user's molecules to the point where everything else appears to be standing still. When the NSA determines that the watch could be used against the USA, they order its destruction. Undaunted, Henry Gates (Michael Biehn), the head of Quantum Tech, decides to continue on with the development of the device in order to dominate the world.
