Cloak & Dagger is a 1984 thriller directed by Richard Franklin and starring Henry Thomas, Dabney Coleman and Michael Murphy. The movie's plot focuses on an imaginative 11-year-old named Davey Osborne (Henry Thomas). Davey's mother has just died, leaving him alone with his father (Dabney Coleman), who has trouble relating to the boy. Davey is obsessed with fantasy and role-playing games and his hero is a character from his favorite game named Jack Flack. He wants to live an action-packed life like Jack Flack and he carries around a water pistol as his "gun" and a softball as his "grenade". Davey spends much of his time creating elaborate fantasies involving Jack Flack, who in Davey's mind takes the form of a more dashing version of his father. One day, a FBI agent, before he is murdered, gives Davey a video cartridge that contains top-secret data. Davey suddenly finds himself thrust into a case of real-life espionage and, since no adults believe him, he must defeat the bad guys using only his wits and the help of his imaginary hero Jack Flack.MORE[EDIT]
