Chops is a musical documentary directed by Brice Broder that showcases some of the best young jazz talent in America. The film follows a very talented high school jazz band from Florida as they try to perfect their talent and win the prize. They are gearing up to compete in the Essentially Ellington Festival that is held every year at the Lincoln Center in New York City. This festival brings together the very best high school jazz bands from across the country to play off against each other. Only one band can be the top winner and this Florida groups wants the top honors to go to them. The documentary follows this band on their journey from Florida to New York.
