Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Tim Burton’s bold remake of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s story of a boy and a golden ticket. Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) closed his chocolate factory’s doors years ago, but they are about to be opened once again. The aging Wonka wants to find an heir, so he announces a contest: Find one of the five golden tickets hidden in Wonka Bars around the world, and receive a tour of the company and a lifetime supply of chocolate. One of the five lucky children to find the tickets is Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), a poor boy with heart of gold, who’s always dreamed of something more.
