Campus Confidential is a 2005 comedy family movie from Firm Films, directed by Melanie Mayron and premiering on ABC Family as a straight-to-television movie. Campus Confidential is about a bunch of school-wide drama that goes on at a suburban school where a new girl, Violet Jacobs (Christy Carlson Romano) finds herself victim to the cliquish, cruel social hierarchy of the school. An avid writer, Violet decides to start her own tabloid, The Tattler, as revenge. She enlists the help of new friend, and editor of the school newspaper, Cornelia Nixon (Keri Lynn Pratt) and the two set about their work of creating a popular school-wide tabloid to out the secrets of the nasty in-crowd. The girls are having a blast, spilling secrets like BP does oil. Until the power goes to Cornelia’s head and she does the unthinkable—publishes a false story about Violet’s crush!
