Bring It On: In It To Win It is a 2007 film that is the fourth in the Bring It On series about rival teams West Coast Sharks Cheerleading Squad and the East Coast Jets Cheerleading Squad, led by Carson (Ashley Benson) and Brooke (Cassie Scerbo) respectively, as they show down at Camp Spirit Thunder. Each team is the best on their coast, but the Jets have beaten the Sharks at cheer camp for three years. Carson has a crush on rival team member Penn (Michael Copon), and her infatuation distracts her from protecting the Spirit Stick. Both the Sharks and the Jets find out about their relationship and blame her for losing the stick, which makes their team “cursed.” Carson suspects the Jets of sending Penn to distract her on purpose, and reveals a secret that Penn told her in confidence, alienating him as well. The Sharks ceremony to ask the “Cheer gods” for forgiveness is interrupted, and escalates into a rumble injuring members from both teams. Neither has enough members to still compete at camp, but Carson suggests the teams combine so they can still be in the Cheer Camp Championship. The teams must put their differences behind them, which won’t be easy, but Carson also must prove to everyone that she can be a good cheerleader and a good friend, earning Penn’s trust back along the way.
