Bonhoeffer is a documentary about a man who tries to fight against the Nazis in Germany, and has ended up as someone forgotten by history. The movie follows the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a theologian who starts openly speaking out against Hitler during the man's rise to power. When Hitler starts his reign of terror in Germany, Bonhoeffer starts a church in the early 1930s called the Confessing Church. There he tells his followers to join forces with and aid the Jews, to fight back against the iron grip of the Third Reich. His actions reach their peak when the devout Christian man goes so far as to become involved, alongside others, in an assassination attempt on Hitler's life. Klaus Maria Brandauer is the voice that reads Bonhoeffer's writings. Desmond Tutu and John de Gruchy are among many of the people interviewed in attempt to piece together the mostly forgotten story of this man's life.MORE[EDIT]
