Body Double

Body Double is a sensual and suspenseful erotic thriller from Hitchcock homage lover, Brian De Palma (Carrie, The Untouchables, Scarface, Carlito's Way, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out). Jake Scully (Craig Wasson, Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors) is a struggling actor trying to make it in La-La Land. When a paralyzing fear of confined spaces gets him booted off the tawdry vampire picture he's starring in, and he walks out on his girlfriend after discovering that she is having an affair, he is decidedly down in the dumps. Fortune seems to smile down on him again when he meets follow Sam Bouchard (Gregg Henry, Slither, Femme Fatale) who, about to take a role out of town, needs someone to take his place house sitting for a friend. Scully accepts the offer to look after the post-modern, revolving domicile which happens to have one unabashedly alluring feature: it offers a clear view of a sexy trophy wife across the way that does a nightly striptease like clockwork. But things take a decidedly wrong turn when Jake witnesses the socialite get drilled ' and not euphemistically ' and must solve the mystery of the grisly murder. MORE [EDIT]
