Blood Simple is a 1984 drama written by Joel and Ethan Coen. It was their first film. It follows the Texas bar owner Julian Marty (played by Dan Hedaya) who is jealous and certain that his wife has been cheating on him. To prove this he hires the unscrupulous private detective Loren Visser (played by M. Emmet Walsh) to find his wife and kill her along with Ray, the man she has been cheating with (played by John Getz). Visser tracks down Martys wife Abby (Played by Frances McDormand in her first screen role) but things quickly spiral out of control and Visser double crosses Marty. Visser' doctors a photograph of Abby and Ray to look like they were killed. He gives the photo to Marty and collects the money...but he doesn't stop MORE [EDIT]
