Blast! is a 2004 action comedy thriller directed by Anthony Hickox. In the film, Lamont Dixon (Eddie Griffin) is an ex-firefighter with emotional problems who gave up fighting fires for a career as a tugboat captain. His current job has him hauling an oil rig off the coast of California. Lamont thinks it is an easy job and has no worries about any dangerous situations arising. Lamont's feelings of security and safety are about to be challenged. Michael Kittredge (Vinnie Jones) is a terrorist who is posing as an environmental protestor. He also has a gang of mercenaries who are willing to do anything he says. Kittredge's intentions are to take over the rig and use it to carry out an evil attack.
