The Black Widow, also known as Before It Had a Name, was produced by Bidou Pictures and distributed by First Look International. The film was written by Giada Colagrande and Willem Dafoe and was directed by Colagrande. After learning about her lover's sudden and tragic death, the grieving widow, Eleanora (Giada Colagrande) travels to his unique and mysterious home to try and discover who he really was. Eleanora makes her way to his house, known as the Rubber House and is quickly introduced to not only the house but its wickedly eccentric caretaker Leslie (Willem Dafoe).
