Billy Madison is a 27-year-old non-working slacker, content to live like a child in his father's estate who must go back to school to earn his father's respect. When his father, the founder of a successful chain of hotels, ponders retirement, he is reluctant to give the reins to Billy after being convinced of his immaturity by a conniving junior executive named Eric Gordon. They agree that Billy must go back and finish school without his father's help, which started in the 2nd grade! Thus, Billy has to go all the way back to the 2nd grade and finish each grade in 2 weeks if he wants to get the company. Adam Sandler, star of Happy Gilmore, plays the role of Billy, and his love interest Veronica Vaughan is played by Bridgette Wilson.[EDIT]
