The deliciously twisted, riotously imaginative animations of Bill Plympton ("Mutant Aliens") have earned the filmmaker a huge cult following around the world, from his frequent spots on MTV to his award-winning entries at the Cannes Film Festival. Exploring the anxieties of rejection as an artist, THE TUNE is a strangely romantic comedy about Del, a struggling songwriter who must come up with the perfect ditty for slimeball mogul Mr. Mega, or run the risk of losing his job and his girlfriend Didi. En route to meet his boss, Del accidentally stumbles into the surreal wonderland of Flooby-Nooby, where Elvis-impersonating dogs, nose-less cab drivers and sadistic bellhops each perform their own outrageous musical numbers!
