Big Daddy is a 1999 comedy directed by Dennis Dugan. Slacker Sonny Kaufax (Adam Sandler) is perfectly content to live in a messy bachelor pad and to avoid working at all costs. After his girlfriend Vanessa (Kristy Swanson) leaves him due to his irresponsible behavior, a little boy named Julian (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) shows up with a handwritten letter at the front door of Sonny's apartment. While reading the letter, Sonny learns that Julian is the son of his roommate Kevin (Jon Stewart), who does not even realize that he fathered the boy. Since Kevin is on a business trip in China, Sonny decides to take care of Julian rather than sending him to foster care.
