Betty Blue, or 37'2 le matin (37. 2'C in the Morning), is a French film made by Jean-Jacques Beineix in 1986. It is a comedic and sometimes tragic love story that takes place on the coast of France. Betty (Beatrice Dalle) and Zorg (Jean-Hugues Anglade) are passionate lovers. The couple lives together in a shack on the beach. When the story begins, the relationship is still young and fresh. Zorg pays the bills by working as a handyman, and also picks up any other kind of work whenever it is available. One day, Zorg is commissioned to paint 500 shacks, to which he agrees but keeps secret from Betty. She eventually finds out and becomes enraged with anger over his dishonesty.
