Best of Times is a comedy-drama film that focuses on one man's struggle to get over a past mistake. Jack Dundee (Robin Williams) is a small town banker and former high school football player for Taft High School. In perhaps one of the most important games of the year against Taft's rival, Bakersfield, Jack dropped a perfectly executed pass and cost his team the game. Since then, Jack has found it hard to get past that mistake. Feeling like his whole life has been a failure, Jack comes up with a plan to help erase that fateful day. He enlists the help of Reno (Kurt Russell), the former quarterback of his team, to re-stage the game. Jack is able to get players from both Taft and Bakersfield to agree to the game.
